iMethods is currently seeking a Cardiology Application Analyst or a large health system located in the Skokie, IL area. This is a full-time position and will require candidates either live in or relocate to the Illinois area (within driving distance to the facility).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and support of a portfolio of third- party applications ranging across various service lines.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned applications and develop a general expertise for unassigned applications:
    • Implementation Support
      • Act as primary Project Lead for project work requiring net new implementations and application upgrades
      • Serves as a liaison between the business experts/users, software vendors, and the project team to ensure the users requirements are understood and interpreted correctly.
      • Assists with all phases of project including requirements gathering, evaluation, workflow analysis, building, testing, optimization, and support
      • Develops technical, training, testing, project management and operational documentation as required
      • Provides status report/update on the assigned project and/or task as requested by management
      • Identifies potential problems or barriers for the assigned project/tasks and communicates with the management in a timely manner
    • Maintenance Support
      • Maintain and build relationships with both end users of applications and vendors of applications to ensure application uptime
      • Facilitates evaluation of application failures and corrective actions as necessary to guarantee system reliability, accuracy, and quality of performance on a continuing basis
      • Own and coordinate regular application updates (e.g. versioning, patching) directly with end users and management to ensure operational uptime
      • Participates in and/or lead appropriate user forum, planning session, status meeting, and department meetings to provide a Health Information Technology perspective on pending activities and strategic initiatives
    • Technical Support
      • Rotating between application team, manage break fix issues through ticketing system for application portfolio
      • Manage break fix issues for assigned applications
      • Obtains and maintains required certifications as required

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant certifications, and equivalent work experience is required
  • 4+ years previous Systems Analyst experience in Healthcare Information Technology required.
  • Knowledge and direct experience working in Healthcare IT, including HL7 interface, DICOM, operating systems, servers, databases, cyber security, clinical modalities/devices, and Project Management tools is preferred
  • Experience with general application management providing support, maintenance, and implementation for third party clinical applications.

  • Direct experience with Syngo, Apollo, Cardiolab, Cardioday, Muse, Scottcare, 3Mensio and other ancillary applications is a plus
  • A history of working with a support ticketing system, and working tickets to satisfactory resolution
  • Relevant project management experience e.g. leading technology projects from request to implementation with an emphasis on requirements gathering, scheduling, documentation, meeting minutes, and follow through on action items.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Visio is required
  • Ability to understand and translate technical terminology and/or aspects of projects/tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and decision-making skills
  • Strong analytic, problem solving, negotiation, issue resolution and facilitation skills
