Wireless Engineer
iMethods is seeking a Wireless Engineer to support the initiatives of the Unified Communications Team at a healthcare client in the Pacific Northwest. This is a contract position that can transition into an FTE.  This individual must be willing to go onsite 50-75%. The primary responsibilities will include leveraging expertise in the radio space, particularly with Motorola Devices, public safety communication systems, UHF/VHF Radio Programming, and fostering collaboration among peers.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of public safety systems with local medical systems, such as ambulance, EMT, and police, fostering efficient communication channels.
  • Lead encryption projects to enhance the security and confidentiality of our communication systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Take ownership of the programming process for hundreds of mobile radios, rectifying any inconsistencies and ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Facilitate the integration of security departments, promoting interconnectedness and collaboration to eliminate silos and enhance overall security posture.
  • Work towards enhancing the autonomy of our organization by reducing reliance on external resellers for equipment deployment and maintenance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in the radio space, with a focus on Motorola Devices and public safety communication systems.
  • Proficiency in UHF/VHF Radio Programming and familiarity with EvenTide or similar recording solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with peers and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Experience with EvenTide
