iMethods is seeking a Radiology Information Systems Manager for a client in New York.  This is a full-time hybrid position that would require initial onsite travel as well as for large projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plans, designs, develops, and implements improved work systems by revising work standards, policies, and procedures, employee work method and utilization, and staffing levels.
  • Contributes to and plans the delivery of department-wide management and technical policies.
  • Manages the development of staff to ensure effective deployment in their roles.
  • Supports the team during upgrade/downtimes
  • Confers with leadership regarding inputs to overall enterprise architecture to allow UHS to render excellent services to its constituents.
  • Prepares activity and progress reports regarding group responsibilities.
  • Serves as a point of contact for the executive management team on unit and department initiatives.
  • Identifies opportunities for change and develops plans to capitalize on these opportunities.
  • Develops, documents, and modifies guidelines and procedures to promote efficiency within the unit.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Demonstrated leadership skills, ability to set direction, balance priorities across simultaneous projects, and meet objectives
    Ability to mentor/coach staff and create professional development plans
    as well as assist with capacity management
  • Experience with vendor relations and contract negotiations
  • Experience with managing imaging teams, budgets, and strategic planning for both Epic and imaging
  • PACS Admin. Experience with McKesson PACS, Powerscribe360, Digisonics, DoseWatch, Hologic, SyngoVia, Syngo Workflow.
  • High-level consultation skills to effectively interpret customer needs and create appropriate system solution
  • Strong working knowledge of electronic medical record systems and workflows
  • Outstanding grasp of data analysis and analytics to identify trends and predict future needs
  • Familiarity and experience with systems integration, including HL7 & interface engines
  • Solid understanding of day-to-day operations and workflows within imaging and radiology departments, including differences between specific imaging modalities
  • Advanced communication skills and ability to effectively/tactfully communicate difficult/sensitive information
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Strong leadership and motivation skills
  • Able to remain focused and effectively adapt to a rapidly changing environment
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
