iMethods is currently seeking an Epic Instructional Designer/Principal Trainer for a large healthcare system in the Oklahoma City area. This is a 50% remote consulting position and will require the candidate to travel onsite every other week Monday through Thursday for a minimum of 3 months.
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This individual is responsible for creating and delivering training on a group or individual basis for the ASAP and Home Health and Hospice modules within Epic. This position is responsible for the design, development and maintenance of the Epic training environment, training materials and methods for clinical end users.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Use professional information instructional design/curriculum development principles to write and produce course materials and other documentation for Epic ASAP and Home Health and Hospice.
Work in collaboration with Epic build team to develop Epic Workflow guides and tip sheets to communicate functionality and/or changes in Epic.
Collaborate with Epic build team to develop training materials for third-party integrated systems.
Work with Credentialed Trainers to ensure communication of Epic functionality changes and/or upgrade functionality is thoroughly understood and incorporated into classroom training.
Maintains Epic MST training environment for applicable applications, to ensure new hire training is reflective if current Epic functionality.
Keep up to date with relevant systems and software to ensure training material and program is current.
Provide oral and written reports as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Attend in-service, meetings and professional development activities as assigned.
Maintain strictest confidentiality.
Must be a team player.

Knowledge of computer equipment, including PCs and printers.
Proficiency with clinical and other healthcare-related applications systems, including practice management, electronic medical record, laboratory information systems, and others as required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Internet Explorer, Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presenting material to training classes, project teams or management. Demonstrates excellent customer service skills to users and co-workers.
Ability to exercise initiative, judgment, and decision-making. Ability to establish effective working relationships with employees, management and physicians. Ability to take directions and follow through on projects. Knowledge of Adobe Captivate a plus.
Bachelor’s Degree in related field is preferred with three (3) years or more demonstrated experience facilitating classroom, on–line and one–on–one training. Previous experience in a healthcare or clinical setting strongly preferred.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must have ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Requires proficiency in computer systems to access and use multiple data systems such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as medical records systems.
Must have ability to perform a variety of complex duties ranging from direct involvement in individual processes to overseeing projects.
Current Epic certification(s): Currently Certified in ASAP and Home Health/Hospice. Candidates possessing an active ASAP certification but without Home Health/Hospice may be considered if they have current credential or certification in EpicCare Ambulatory.
