iMethods is currently seeking a full-time Cerner Clinical Systems Analyst for a healthcare client in the Richmond, VA area. Candidates must live in the Richmond, VA area OR be willing to relocate there.
The Clinical Systems Analyst is responsible for the information technology functions to support and implement electronic medical records and other identified clinical systems.
May lead teams and/or projects coordinating work activities, reporting on work status and providing input on team performance.
Provides full responsibility for an aspect of the system (specific area of system support or development) requiring deep knowledge of business needs and broad system capabilities.
Reviews all designs to assure that impacts are understood and that designs are feasible and consistent with technology capabilities and future direction.
Coordinates the report request queue and defines the standards required to assure the maintenance and efficiency of the code.
Prioritizes work in area of specialization and is accountable for reporting on work status.
Advises end-users and financial oversight groups regarding the feasibility of proposed system changes and on the amount of effort required to complete the change(s).
Participates in application special interest groups, workshops and web communities as required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Computer Science or related field; Clinical background preferred (i.e.RN/BSN); Experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Minimum of 6 years' technical experience supporting Cerner applications
Knowledgable of clinical workflow design and testing.
Previous Cerner Millennium build/config experience w/ PowerPlans, Rules, Orders, Health Maintenance and event set hierarchy.
Proven ability to teach basic support role and tools to less experienced staff
