Dave Hester

Manager of QA and Process Improvement


Dave Hester serves as the Manager of QA & Process Improvement for iMethods. He is passionate about testing EMRs and ancillary systems in order to preserve patient safety and revenue integrity. Because Dave knows that health care systems have to “test smarter, not harder,” he is a champion for automated testing, robotic process automation, and AI. He manages extending iMethods services around Eggplant to health care clients.

Prior to coming to iMethods, Dave Hester was the Testing Coordinator at UNC Health Care, in charge of all testing around their Epic implementation. Before that, Dave served as a Resolute PB analyst, Grand Central Analyst, and a variety of other roles since he brought his first Epic practice live in 2001. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and served six years in the US Army in Military Intelligence prior to beginning his career in IT.

Dave is blessed with a wonderful wife, Mary, and two teenage sons, Nick and Gil. He enjoys volunteering his time to a variety of good causes including serving the Scoutmaster of his sons’ Scouts BSA Troop.
