Training and Development Manager

iMethods is in the process of growing.  We currently have a staff of about 40 internal employees with plans to grow to over 100 recruiting, sales and support personnel over the next 10 years.   The Training and Development Manager will work alongside the Vice President of Human Resources & People Development to oversee the training of new employees added to the iMethods team.  The Training and Development Manager will assess company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and will be responsible for improving the knowledge and productivity of the iMethods’ employees. They will identify and arrange suitable training solutions for employees at all levels. This position will actively search, creatively design and implement effective ways to educate employees as well as enhance and recognize performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for the design, planning and implementation of the iMethods corporate training programs aligned with the objectives and strategy of the company
  • This person will train new hires on all facets of the business including leadership, new business development, client account management and healthcare IT recruiting
  • Lead the development and editing of a variety of hands-on professional learning opportunities
  • Successfully establish and maintain onboarding training, processes and systems to ensure employees receive adequate training and support within the first 90-180 days of hire and throughout their tenure
  • Collaborate with functional management teams to assess ongoing and future training and development needs, as well as the effectiveness of established programs
  • Develop a program delivery schedule that provides training as needed and in locations that work for the participants
  • Plan, organize and facilitate development and training events
  • Provide engaging communications about program information to encourage participation and highlight the value and benefits of the training
  • Approve new training techniques and suggest enhancements to existing training programs
  • Oversee and establish relationships with vendors to provide additional outside training programs
  • Mentor and provide guidance, advice, feedback and support to employees serving as a role model, teacher, counselor, advisor, sponsor, advocate and ally, depending on the specific goals and objectives of the mentee

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods
  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives
  • Ability to design and implement effective training and development
  • Have a hands-on approach and interface effectively at all levels
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude
  • Ability and willingness to take on special projects as needed


Required Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience in recruiting/staffing industry is strongly preferred
  • Five or more years of training and development required
  • Previous experience and knowledge of implementing a learning management system (LMS) to create a single source of online courses and training materials
  • Five or more years of Managerial experience preferred
