CLINICAL SYSTEMS ENGINEER

iMethods is currently seeking an experienced Clinical Systems Engineer for a full-time opportunity with a hospital client in Florida. This position is predominately remote with occasional onsite. 

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Responsible for technically supporting the acute-care technical environment.
  • Technical support includes, but is not limited to, implementations, patch releases, upgrades, application deployment and management, monitoring production systems and performing all activities needed for maintaining a stable and reliable clinical environment.
  • Serves as an escalation point for Clinical and Business Systems Analysts and Call Center.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Computer Applications or Information Systems) is required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of clinical systems engineering experience, preferable supporting Allscripts SCM environment; Other related system administration experience supporting clinical and business systems in a large hospital will also be considered.
  • Extensive knowledge of multiple computer operating systems, database applications, server hardware and software applications, including programming, software set-up and implementation, data manipulation, and report generation/design preferred.
  • Proficient with MS SQL 2008/2012; VMware; eLink/Iss
  • Extensive technical knowledge in the installation, operation and upgrade of hardware products including networking equipment, PC’s, printers, and modems in a networked environment, both serial and TCP/IP preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills with the ability to research and problem solve preferred.
  • Ability to effectively present technical information in plain English and demonstrate clear communication skills to all levels of hospital personnel preferred.
  • Ability to interact and coordinate activities with various departments and vendors in support of ongoing projects and daily Clinical Information Systems operations preferred.
  • Ability to develop operational procedures and go live tasks plans for implementing new or upgraded systems preferred.
  • Ability to develop detailed operational system documentation preferred.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous Project Management experience.
  • Experience supporting clinical applications/systems such as Altera/Allscripts Sunrise Clinical Manager (“SCM”), GE, Syngo, etc.
