History in the making

In 2004, Chad Perce and Clint Drawdy co-founded a company called Medical Methods. Nestled in a small (often flood-prone) office near downtown Jacksonville, FL, the business was built with an aim to create a company where people could be a part of faith-based corporate culture while performing meaningful, engaging work. They wanted to create a working environment where honesty, integrity, and caring for clients, as well as one another, was rewarded just as much as hard work.

Although Chad and Clint had each spent many years prior in the information technology recruiting industry, they found a real need for recruiting and staffing solutions within the healthcare industry. Medical Methods initially began as an allied health offering but quickly transformed into a niche therapy recruiting service providing physical, occupational and speech therapists to clients nationwide.

At the forefront when starting the company, our founders were committed to having a positive impact on the community – for employees, clients, and the places where we would do business. Chad and Clint wanted to create real opportunities for employees to fulfill their desires to make a positive impact on people’s lives. With this mindset, in 2006, Medical Methods was honored with recognition as a “Best Places to Work” in Northeast Florida by the Jacksonville Business Journal.

The iMethods brand was formed in 2007 after numerous clients requested services for IT recruiting and staffing. This was a wonderful opportunity for the co-founders to build a business that fulfilled a real need while also rekindling past relationships in the IT-recruiting domain.

2008 was the year of three floods, but the hiring of some great new employees. With this new growth and trying to constantly waterproof the office, our founders decided it was time to move into a bigger space and settled on the Southside of Jacksonville. The new iMethods brand gained incredible momentum in a relatively short amount of time such that the young company was named to the Inc. 500 list of the “Fastest Growing Small Companies in the United States” and simultaneously ranked #6 on Jacksonville Business Journal’s “Fast 50” list, for fastest growing companies in all of Northeast Florida.

In 2009, iMethods continued to increase market share and through near-fanatical attention to quality and delivering a superior service to our clients, continued to grow and was named to the Inc. 500/5000 list of “Fastest Growing Small Companies in the United States” for the second consecutive year. 2009 was also the year iMethods picked up its first regional award as one of Florida Trend’s “Best Companies to Work For” in all of Florida. Being recognized as staying true to their desire to serve the community, the company was also listed as one of Jacksonville’s “Companies that Care” by Jacksonville Magazine.

2010 saw a third straight year of recognition on the Inc. 500/5000 list, with an additional repeat award for Florida Trend’s “Best Companies to Work For” in all of Florida. In the fall of 2010, the Medical Methods portion of the business was sold to focus attention solely on building the iMethods brand. By continuing to focus energy on ensuring our employees are treated right, trained well, and recognized often, between 2011 and 2012, iMethods accumulated four more awards as a Great Place to Work.

In 2012, iMethods moved into a customized multi-function office space that would leave room to grow and allow for increased cross-collaboration between employees. Just one year later, in 2013, iMethods saw a year of record growth that lead to the company’s sixth Inc. 500/5000 award as well as two more Best Places to Work awards. This incredible success led to seeking additional opportunities which helped uncover the extreme need for staffing and career service solutions within the realm of healthcare IT. This discovery would lead iMethods to focus exclusively on delivering effective healthcare IT consulting solutions to clients nationwide.

Over the next two years, iMethods received five more Best Places to Work awards for a current total of 14 awards in a 15-year period. In 2017, iMethods purchased and renovated their building. Building off prior experience, the new office space was designed by its own employees to be multi-functional, inviting, and allow for the greatest degree of flexibility and collaboration between employees, consultants, and the clients they serve. By creating such a unique place to go into work each day, the office has since been recognized as “Coolest Office Space in Jacksonville” by the Jacksonville Business Journal.

As the business continues to grow nationally in the healthcare consulting and IT staffing arena, the focus on building intentional, interpersonal relationships and creating meaningful work that creates positive impacts within the communities where we operate, remains at the forefront of who we are.

“Our culture, core purpose, and core values permeate all that we do and how we serve our employees, clients, and community.” Clint Drawdy, President/COO
