Staff Accountant
The Staff Accountant will be an essential finance and accounting team member at iMethods. The responsibilities of this role are vast, involving financial administration and stewardship, customer and vendor relationship management, risk and compliance administration, and financial reporting for the organization. The Staff Accountant will be relied on for their detail-oriented processes and interpersonal skills to help administer various Finance and Accounting initiatives for internal and external employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the accounts payable process, recording vendor invoices, ensuring timely payment of invoices and reconciling vendor statements
- Manage accounts receivable process handling customer invoices, recording payments and following up on outstanding items
- Serve as the primary contact for external client interactions specific to the finance and accounting department
- Maintain general ledger accounts following generally accepted accounting principles
- Assist with month-end activities for the business
- Collaborate with the finance and accounting team, contributing to the financial strategy of the organization
- Assist the team with improving efficiencies and reducing costs across the organization, seeking continuous improvement of accounting processes in the organization
- Partner with finance team members to assist with the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts
- Assist with the preparation of budget variance reports
- Demonstrate sound judgment, discernment and respect for employee and client privacy, exercising discretion as necessary.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned

Required Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required (degree in Finance or Accounting preferred)
- Experience in finance, accounting or other similar roles preferred
- Proficiency in MS Suite of products
