DEVICE INTEGRATION SYSTEMS ANALYST
[Technical Applications Specialist III]

Senior Device Integration Systems Analyst specializing in the support and maintenance of device integration and other device-related applications for the enterprise health system. Device Integration Analyst will support the installation, operations, maintenance, and support of systems including Capsule, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Uses technical skills and provides guidance and direction in the development, implementation and maintenance of complex production information systems.
  • Conducts research in automation techniques to improve application performance, efficiency, and testing.
  • Provide ongoing IT support for bio-medical device connectivity and interoperability.
  • Provide support and high-level understanding of devices and connectivity engines.
  • Accountable for successful technical implementation, enhancements and strategies with focus on system integration.
  • Determines and performs testing methodologies and techniques.
  • Adheres to internal controls and standards established for department.
  • Provides assistance in isolating and solving problems within application systems, interfaces, and middleware infrastructure.
  • Plans and coordinates programming projects within a particular work group.
  • Provides production support in a 7 X 24 Tier 1 environment.
  • Assists and advises subordinate personnel in the solution of highly technical and complex problems and solutions.
  • Functions as a senior programming consultant in advanced computer technology and architecture.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be proficient in at least three computer languages used currently in production.
  • Must be able to lead, engage and mentor others to achieve a very high level of application systems availability and integration.
  • Must have good business skills.
  • Must be able to lead problem solving efforts when mission critical systems are interrupted.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with the technical support of biomedical devices in clinical settings.
  • Working level knowledge of DICOM, HL7 and IHE.
  • Experience implementing biomedical systems in complex healthcare settings.
  • Experience implementing and/or supporting Philips™ Capsule; specifically, implementing and/or supporting Philips™ Capsule Neuron Clinical Computing Hub.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering, Biomed, Computer Science or a related field or the equivalent combination of experience preferred.
  • Seven (7) years of application systems/administration experience in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.
  • HL7 Certification highly preferred.  
  • ETA Certified Biomedical Electronics Technician (BMD) OR Biomedical Imagining Equipment Technician (BIET) Certification, preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (Medium Max 25lbs):
up to 25 lbs., 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 11-25 lbs., 34-66% of the workday (frequently); 01-10 lbs., 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 25 lbs. max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs.; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
