iMethods is seeking a Clinical Systems Engineer for a full time opportunity with a health system in the Atlanta market.  Remote candidates will possibly be considered. 
The Clinical Systems Engineer will specialize in the support and maintenance of 3rd Party Clinical Applications and integrations for the enterprise health system. Clinical Systems Engineer will support the installation, operations, maintenance, and support of systems as well as the projects related to the innovation and partnerships. 


  • Uses technical skills to generate, modify and maintain computer application software in a production environment of the most complex nature.
  • Analyzes existing and projected application systems and performs studies of the interaction of several software systems to ascertain feasibility and performance.
  • Isolates and solves problems within application systems, interfaces, and middleware infrastructure.
  • Coordinates implementation of software, and evaluates and modifies existing components.
  • Performs programming, testing, and documentation.
  • Recommends development of application routines needed for the efficient use of computer sources.
  • Designs approved routines and oversees their implementation.
  • Adheres to internal controls and standards established for department.
  • Provides production support in a 7 X 24 Tier 1 environment.
  • Must be able to work effectively with others to achieve a very high level of application systems availability and integration.
  • Advises other application software specialists with respect to determination of and possible solutions to work problems.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.
  • Five (5) years of application systems/administration experience OR three years experience with a bachelor's degree.
  • Must be proficient in at least three computer languages used currently in production.
  • Must be able to work effectively with others to achieve a very high level of application systems availability and integration.
  • Must be good at solving complex technical problems.


  • Experience and fluency with the technical support of Microsoft Systems and Networks.
  • Experience with clinical workflow(s) and the impact of software applications. 
  • Experience with application/software implementation, optimization, upgrade, etc. 
  • Knowledge of and experience with the design of network architecture; build experience not required. 
  • Experience with systems and network including Citrix, Cisco, Microsoft, etc. Configuration experience not required, but preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (MediumMax 25lbs): up to 25 lbs., 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 11-25 lbs., 34-66% of the workday (frequently); 01-10 lbs., 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 25 lbs. max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs.; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
