iMethods is seeking a Senior Clinical Informatics Specialist for a full-time opportunity with a health system in the Jacksonville, FL area. This position will require candidates to either live in or relocate to the area.
Do you have a passion for patient care planning? Do you desire an informatics role that will allow you to work alongside many different disciplines to build and integrate a patient’s plan of care within the electronic record and across the continuum of care? This role will focus on maintaining and coordinating evidenced- based care planning and education content integrated within the EMR. The candidate will work in partnership with a variety of interdisciplinary teams including clinical practice and informatics consensus groups as well as the Elsevier vendor to ensure care planning content maintains an evidenced based foundation, supports adoption and workflow, and maintains efficient integration within the Epic EMR to drive patient care.
Assist with development, optimization, integration and provide support for electronic medical records and various clinical information systems to support patient care within the organization.
Analyzes processes and the collection of data to streamline workflow and to integrate information technologies within clinical practice for a variety of healthcare roles.
Utilizes methods of information retrieval and presentation to improve patient safety.
Incorporates evidenced based/best practice standards of care in design and optimization of systems.
Works alongside a variety of healthcare roles including nurses and physicians to support and train on healthcare technology systems.
Requires in depth conceptual and practical knowledge of informatics and basic knowledge of related job disciplines.
Solves complex problems utilizing critical thinking skills with minimal guidance.
Exhibits excellent communication and consensus building skills.
Adept at working with teams, and at times leading, to plan, design, validate and execute clinical technology changes.
