iMethods is seeking a Sr. Clinical Informatics Specialist for a large healthcare client in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time position and will require candidates that are either local to the area or can relocate.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to providing expertise in the planning, design, development, training, implementation, communication, maintenance, and evaluation of new or existing functionality related to clinical and business information systems. The immediate focus of this CI Specialist will be to help direct and lead the IT clinical initiatives with a focus on physician documentation and change control. Knowledge of patient care, operational processes, and of information systems requirements focused on clinical/operational expertise.
Works as a liaison among stakeholders to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to processes, policies, and information systems. Ensures data/information is current with regulatory agency and best practice standards. Coordinates the collection and report of metric defining benefits realization associate with the clinical information systems. Serves as an internal consultant to all departments to identify and achieve department and project goals.
Assist with development, optimization, integration and provide support for electronic medical records and various clinical information systems to support patient care within the organization.
Analyzes processes and the collection of data to streamline workflow and to integrate information technologies within clinical practice for a variety of healthcare roles.
Utilizes methods of information retrieval and presentation to improve patient safety.
Incorporates evidenced based/best practice standards of care in design and optimization of systems.
Works alongside a variety of healthcare roles including nurses and physicians to support and train on healthcare technology systems.
Requires in depth conceptual and practical knowledge of informatics and basic knowledge of related job disciplines.
Strong understanding of process redesign including documentation of current and future state workflow processes.
Demonstrated ability to be self-directed with excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of clinician needs and practice patterns, as well as hospital operations and workflow.
Ability to test, analyze, trouble shoot, and isolate complex problems.
Solves complex problems utilizing critical thinking skills with minimal guidance.
Exhibits excellent communication and consensus building skills.
Adept at working with teams, and at times leading, to plan, design, validate and execute clinical technology changes.
Performs other duties as assigned.
3-5 years Clinical or Physician facing experience
3-5 Years Informatics Experience Required
EMR (EPIC) Implementation Experience is ideal
Bachelor’s Degree with Nursing License (RN, BSN) required
License and Certification
Nursing Informatics Certification Preferred but not required
