iMethods is seeking a Network Engineer II for a hospital partner in the Oklahoma City area.  Candidates must be local to OKC or within a short driving distance as this is a full time position and will require daily onsite presence. 

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Science or related.

Experience: Six (6) to eight (8) years of experience in information technology enterprise systems.

Licensure/Certification: Technical certification required: (CCNA Wireless, or CCNP Wireless, or CWNA), Technical certification preferred (CCIE Wireless).

Knowledge, Skills, and Responsibilities: The Network Engineer’s role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the Wireless, LAN, and WAN network communication systems, and participates in network planning, design and development. Supports management, network users and technical staff in developing solutions to complex network questions or problems. The Network Engineer will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments. This individual will also mentor and provide guidance to the junior networking staff.

  • 6+ years in wireless network engineering, specifically with Cisco, autonomous, controller-based, and mesh Client, including indoor/outdoor deployments and wireless bridges and a strong grasp of IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax Wi-Fi standards and related components
  • 8+ years in wired network engineering, specifically in L2/L3 switching and routing and different platforms of Cisco IOS switches and routers
  • Thorough understanding of 802.1x authentication and TACACS/TACACS+
  • Advanced knowledge in troubleshooting wireless networking issues.
