iMethods is currently seeking an Analyst IS Sr. Systems – Pharmacist Oncology for our healthcare client in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time position and will require candidates to live in OR relocate to the Jacksonville area. The Oncology Informatics Pharmacist will work directly with pharmacy and non-pharmacy customers in the health system to troubleshoot and optimize medication ordering and dispensing throughout the health system, particularly with oncology related medication build in the oncology environment. Project participation and management will be assigned for those tasks within the hospital pharmacy environment as well as initiatives enterprise wide.
Responsible to act as the Pharmacy Informatics CIS liaison to all client oncology pharmacy related build, maintenance, process and project work.
Participates collaboratively with CIS team and clinicians including oncology pharmacists to ensure that oncology build is approved clinically and validated as part of a closed loop process between clinicians and analysts.
Relates project and maintenance build and configuration to best practice. Uses critical thinking to evaluate effects of configuration changes in build to pharmacy practice in an effort to maintain safety and promote efficiency.
Works collaboratively with CIS team members, pharmacist and clinician customers and vendor representatives to develop best practice build and configuration processes.
Participates in on-call rotation during work and off hours as assigned.
Participates in workgroups and committees to foster and maintain relationships with pharmacy customers throughout the health system.
Is able to travel to health system locations in order to help maintain and troubleshoot pharmacy systems and act as support for the pharmacy informatics customer.
Pharmacy practice in oncology with adult and pediatric populations
Experience with oncology build in Cerner PharmNet, Powerchart
Experience with pharmacy automation build, troubleshooting and maintenance of associated databases including drug library.
Degrees Required: Bachelor of Science (Pharmacy)
Degree Preferred: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
Certification Required: Pharmacist
Certification/Courses Preferred: PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency or PGY2 Informatics Residency
