iMethods is looking for a Director of Revenue Cycle for a hospital in NY. This is a hybrid position, and will require occasional onsite travel.
The Director of Revenue Cycle Projects & Analysis directs the totality of Revenue Cycle Projects, including those integrated with other areas; serves as point person for conducting in-depth Analyses to identify improvement opportunities and track performance for the Revenue Cycle Areas (Patient Access, Authorizations, HIM, Professional Billing, & Hospital Billing).
Supervises staff and manages employee performance; provides on-going performance feedback, addresses problems, orients and trains employees, verifies competency and identifies and suggests ways to develop skills; monitors workflow.
Serves as a Leader and Subject Matter Expert on Revenue Cycle KPIs and related data, reports, & dashboards.
Serves as the leader for Revenue cycle Projects, coordinating resources and deliverables from Operations to achieve project objectives.
Ability to interact at all levels and with all areas of the Organization to achieve Project goals.
Fosters Teamwork and relationships and works closely with the Epic BI and Application teams.
Prepares formal communications and presentations for various committees and boards to share Project Status along with Risks, Issues, and key Decisions and related project materials/deliverables and outcomes/results.
Partners with various stakeholders to develop and deploy standard reports and dashboards leveraging the various Epic reporting tools.
Drives the development of routine reports supporting Revenue Cycle activities and performance such as regularly released dashboards, statistics, and ad-hoc reporting, ensuring data integrity throughout.
Identifies and brings forth improvement opportunities based on analyses conducted.
Communicates clearly and concisely verbally and in writing and can readily translate operational questions and/or requirements into Epic reports/dashboards that address the needs of the customers.
Develops a Revenue Cycle reporting team and implements processes to streamline data requests.
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
3-5 years revenue cycle and Billing experience required (certification preferred, but not required).
Strong Rev Cycle/billing knowledge base, HIM knowledge preferred
Experience in patient access preferred (Cadence, prelude, Grand Central )
Specific knowledge in split claims, referrals, payor edits is preferred
Experience managing Rev Cycle/billing teams, delegating work
Experience with Sr Leader communication and partnership
Experience with complete Epic Rev Cycle/billing implementation preferred
