EPIC BEAKER ANALYST
iMethods is seeking an Epic Beaker Analyst focused in Clinical Pathology (CP) who is responsible for assisting with the install, design, configuring, and training of complex applications within the Epic EMR. The Analyst assists implementation teams with documenting requirements and workflows. The Analyst aids in the optimization of the application through development of new functionality, testing and implementing scheduled vendor releases and system upgrades, and fixing system defects. The Analyst helps in the facilitation of application changes following change management procedures and protocols contributing to the creation and maintenance of all documentation for assigned applications. The Analyst will communicate all necessary application changes, enhancements and procedures to all necessary department teams following the processes of the client. *Remote Opportunity with occasional travel (25%) *Must be located in the United States except the following: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Illinois, New Jersey, New York Pennsylvania, or Washington DC.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Participates in the planning, design, build, and testing for Epic Beaker LIS implementation
Support, maintenance, and testing of clinical laboratory information systems (LIS) including databases, interfaces, and operational aspects of the laboratory
Performs advanced-level design, build, testing, validation, and implementation assignments/projects
Based on deep knowledge of laboratory application and operational requirements, can translate complex requirements/concepts into system specifications and configuration requirements
Initiates, facilitates, or leads meetings with laboratory operations end-users/business owners and other teams in the organization to ensure efficient workflow design, system build for customization, and optimization of the LIS
Interacts with system and support vendors as needed
Participates in optimization of laboratory operational work-flow processes with end-users/business owners
Provides high-level expertise in LIS design integration and touch points with other Epic modules and/or other applications
Participate in an on-call support rotation with other team members
PREFERRED SKILLSETS/EXPERIENCE

Medical Technologists (MT) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT)
ASCP (American Society of Clinical Pathology) certification
Epic Certification – Beaker CP
Epic Certification – Beaker AP (optional)
Experience with new Beaker implementations and Beaker Clinical Pathology Module
Laboratory Information Systems experience
