iMethods is seeking a Business Intelligences (BI) Developer III for a contract to full time opportunity with a health system in the Melbourne, FL area.  This is a 100% remote opportunity, but candidates must live in the state of Florida.

The Business Intelligence (BI) Developer III will work closely with customers and technical teams to understand, develop, improve, and maintain BI systems. The Business Intelligence Developer III will use their skills and expertise to transform data into metrics, automated reports, and dashboards providing actionable insights to improve decision-making at all levels of the business. The Business Intelligence Developer III will have strong data management skills and communicate directly with internal clients. This role works autonomously and helps to create new solutions and BI standards for the team.

Using their skills and experience as a BI Report Developer III, develops strong relationships and expertise in one of our four core customer segments. This role leads in the development of moderately complex analytics solutions.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develops a deep familiarity with a variety of data sources including transactional databases, data warehouses, internal tools, and external integrations.
  • Designs and builds advanced visualizations and analytics solutions in close partnership with customers.
  • Coaches and mentors business partners on how to leverage enterprise reporting and visualization tools.
  • Refines user stories to clearly articulate business needs and acceptance criteria.
  • Works closely with customers to understand their reporting and analytics needs and works collaboratively to design and develop solutions.
  • Prepares and designs technical and/or functional specifications from which programs will be written.
  • Guides and mentors less senior developers in preparation of functional specifications.
  • Leads the code review and QA process within the team.
  • Provides technical leadership on internally developed analytics solutions; considers all alternatives and implements the best strategy to ensure design meets performance, usability, reliability, and scalability requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or an associates degree + 2 years applicable experience.
  • Licensure: None Required
  • Certification: Intermediate level certification required within one year of hire.
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Data and Analytics preferably in Health Care or a similarly complex industry.
  • Work Experience in lieu of Education: 4 years work experience in lieu of a degree. Or an associates degree + 2 years of experience.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
    • Advanced-level experience in working in an Agile, modern development environment using CI/CD principles and tools.
    • Understanding of multi-dimensional data models.
    • Requires strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities and critical thinking.
    • Experience with developing and managing ETL packages.
    • Intermediate skills in SQL, M, DAX or similar languages.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certification: Intermediate technical certification.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
    • Experience in healthcare or similarly complex industry is strongly preferred.
    • Familiarity with Data Vault data modeling methodology and Informatica Axon Data Governance toolset.
    • Experience with Microsoft Azure Synapse or Snowflake.
    • Experience in the health care ecosystem, including understanding the relationship between payers and providers, and how analytics enables transformation.
