iMethods is currently seeking a Business Architect for a large healthcare system in the Kansas City Metro area. This is a full-time position and will require relocation to the area.


  • Assists in developing a business architecture strategy based on a situational awareness of various business scenarios and motivations.
  • Supports lead architect in applying a structured business architecture approach and methodology for capturing the key views of the enterprise.
  • Assists capturing the tactical and strategic enterprise goals that provide traceability through the organization and are mapped to metrics that provide ongoing governance.
  • Support defining the set of strategic, core and support processes that transcend functional and organizational boundaries; identify and describe external entities such as customers, suppliers, and external systems that interact with the business; and describe which people, resources and controls are involved in the process.
  • Assist defining the data shared across the enterprise and the relationships between those data.
  • Help capture the relationships among roles, capabilities and business units, the decomposition of those business units into subunits, and the internal or external management of those units.
  • Assist in key management and thought leadership role in the areas of advanced modeling techniques, including capability modeling, system modeling, process modeling, and data modeling.
  • Assist in establishing standards and guidelines for the design & development, tuning, deployment and maintenance of Enterprise Business Architecture practice.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Information Technology
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience using model-based representations
  • 3 years’ experience using and/or certified in TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience modeling and documenting process


  • Master's degree in Business or Information Technology
  • Experience with Microsoft Access, OneNote, Project, Planview
  • Strong analysis, modeling and problem-solving skills
