iMethods is currently seeking an Epic Application Coordinator with expertise in Epic Beacon and Research Applications. This is a full-time position supporting a health system on the West Coast. This position offers remote or on-site work, with minimal travel to their facility for emergency situations, and quarterly/annual on-site meetings.
The primary responsibility of the Applications Coordinator is to facilitate customers’ innovative means of utilizing the software to promote hospital objectives. Responsibilities include system support of assigned computer applications, providing consultative services to customers regarding the functionality and design of the applications to support workflow, and to lead or be a key participant in IT related projects. This requires knowledge of customer workflow and work objectives, application functionality, database and configuration parameters, and integration of applications with other systems. This position works collaboratively with multiple groups within the organization, including all levels of leadership. This position is also responsible for maintaining vendor relationships.
System support of Epic Beacon and Epic Research Applications.
Provide consultative services to customers regarding the functionality and design of the applications to support workflow.
Lead and/ or participate in IT related projects to the optimization of clinical workflows.
Design and document application changes and new features or defects in application area assigned.
Knowledge of customer workflow and work objectives, application functionality, database and configuration parameters, and integration of applications with other systems.
Train less experienced personnel on applications.
Work collaboratively with multiple groups within the organization, including all levels of leadership.
Responsible for maintaining vendor relationships.
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information System or equivalent experience.
Individual must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Information Systems or Information Management function with an emphasis in Clinical application support.
Experience with Epic’s Beacon and Research applications required (certification preferred).
Epic Ambulatory Certification required.
Strong project and vendor management skills required.
Must possess strong customer service and communication skills.
Must live in an approved state: California, Tennessee, Minnesota, Nevada, Texas, Utah, North Carolina, and Wisconsin
