iMethods is currently looking for an Allscripts System Architect for a wonderful health system in Phoenix Arizona. This position will require someone to live within in 2 hrs of Phoenix. 80% remote/20% onsite.

Job Summary:

  • The Enterprise Allscripts System Architect provides primary application expertise for the Allscripts Sunrise application(s), through the effective installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of application software and technical infrastructures. This position provides leadership in projects and problem resolution for system(s) by ensuring that system hardware, software and related procedures adhere to organizational values. This position is responsible for systems that cross multiple business functions (e.g., clinical, radiology, pharmacy, registration, and scheduling) and acts as the primary subject matter expert for the technical aspects of the Allscripts Sunrise System. The role requires broad knowledge for how our surrounding systems integrate with our Allscripts EHR.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides primary application expertise for the Allscripts Sunrise Applications
  • Takes a lead role in installing new Sunrise applications
  • Takes a subject matter expert role in configuring Sunrise Applications
  • Providers guidance and input into the effective and reliable operation and support of the
  • Sunrise Applications
  • May lead the deployment of new modules, upgrades, fixes and new installations.
  • Provides leadership in complex problem resolution with new and existing Sunrise application modules
  • Leads the development of test plans, including robust test cases from application/technical support perspective
  • Provides education and mentorship for non-clinical areas of implementing Sunrise Modules while leveraging other IT Teams to achieve outcomes


Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer systems or health care field, or equivalent combination of post-secondary education and experience.

Experience Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a health care field is required.
  • 5-7 years supporting Allscripts Sunrise applications is required (Ambulatory, Clinical, Financial or
  • Revenue Cycle)
  • Experience with interfaces between Healthcare Information Systems is required
  • Experience working with client-server environments is preferred
  • Experience working with relational databases is preferred
  • Experience with Clinical Decision Support, Crystal, and Microsoft Reporting Services is preferred
  • Experience with clinical systems like Sunquest Lab, Sunquest Radiology, Allscripts Sunrise Clinical Manager, Allscripts Scheduling and Registration, GE Centricity Pharmacy, GE Centricity PACS, GE Centricity Perioperative, Siemens Cardiology is preferred.
